Who will be hailed as the next awardees of the Presidential Lingkod Bayan and be in the same class as former Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, former Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology Director, Dr. Renato U. The Civil Service Commission (CSC) released today the semi-finalists for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan awards. Fifteen individuals and a lone group were selected out of 46 national qualifiers, as follows:

CSC holds an annual nationwide Search for Outstanding government Workers under its Honor Awards Program (HAP). The Program serves as the core of the bureaucracy’s employee incentives and rewards system.

The Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award is conferred to an individual or group for exceptional or extraordinary contributions that had nationwide impact, while the CSC Pagasa is given to an individual or group of individuals for outstanding contributions that directly benefit more than one department of the government. ###
